A rare example of the Ferrari F40, the fastest road legal production car of the late 1980s and believed by many to be one of the great supercars ever produced, is up for grabs at the Historics at Brooklands auction this weekend. The lucky buyer is expected to pay at least £280,000 for this unmolested example of only 1,315 F40s ever produced.
With just 10,500 miles on the clock, this 471bhp beast can reach a top speed of 200mph, and is a worthwhile investment.
It’ll appear in an auction alongside a Ferrari GTO450 of similar value, as well as an extremely rare Aston Martin DB5 convertible, expected to make £350,000.
